Unmentionables

As a newcomer to the Yukon I sought to learn more about the history of this area. One of the main subjects I became fascinated with was the role of women, who were newcomers to the North during the Gold Rush era.  The antique textiles serves to tell its’ own unique history, layered upon with hand embroidered text and images representing the stories of these women, their triumphs and sorrows.
